i've got my interview offer from University of Glasgow :)
and i'm scared shitless..


to top it all off, i have my Chem Paper 2 in an hour!

chicken pox, anyone?

my first post after AGES, and, guess what, I HAVE CHICKEN POX!

(yes i havent been infected)

and boy, is it PAINFULLY ITCHY!

ananth's got it too, and so has mishyan and farid junior..

and being kept in quarantine, cut out from the world (by "world" i mean college) can not be as godsend as people think it is..

true, we didnt have to go for classes, or live through the stress, or worry bout trying to fit in studying in a tight schedule, but being isolated with nothing to do, and being unable to go anywhere does have it's downside (a very deep downside)..

but that aside, AS has officially started for me!

sat for my bio paper 3 today, despite the chicken pox..

so, right after my paper, my mum comes in to take me back home..

so here i am, typing this post, from the comfort of my home..

Deepavali came and went, and i thought i should blog about it..

this year was kinda boring actually, with most of the cousins' away..

but uncle vijayan and lian came down from the US to celebrate with us..

and the best part of this year's deepavali (apart from the food) is the amount of money i got :)

okay okay, i made a total of RM600!

and just as i was about to fall prey to azri & ezmira's persuasion to go for beyonce's concert, i found out it was postponed..

yup, life's good :)

since i cannot upload photos, i shall not blog any further about anything else :(

after so long..

i've been wanting to update for days now, but didnt really manage to find the time to do it..
been really busy, and i mean REALLY busy..
so many things happened throughout the one and a half weeks i've been back in college, and it's really disrupting my study plan..
i know that i should be studying for my AS which starts this month, yet i still wanna attend the events taking place..
for example, i know it would be wrong for me to go for Diwali Night this week, cuz i know i badly NEED to study, yet i have to go, cuz it's social suicide if i dun (stop making stupid excuses suman!)



let's talk about everything that has happened recently..
i finally dropped DoE :)
why?
well, cuz it was taking AGES to finish, and the meetings took up so much time, it really depressed me..
but now it's out of the way, i have more time for myself (i hope...)




Cultural Performance '09 was last friday..
i found it kinda unfair and couldnt help being a lil bit jealous with the fact that the juniors had more time than we did (MUCH more time) and that they had teachers coaching them..
we got less than a month to prepare and we coached ourselves..
with that said, i was expecting the CP to be nothing less than amazing..
but, somehow, it wasnt..
no one can deny that they did put it A LOT of effort..
the dances were good (and amusing at times hahaha) and the costumes were really nice..
but the story was boring and a lil bit too historical, it felt like a history class..
i was expecting a story, but what i got was a documentary of the life of Parameswara and his connection to Malacca..
it was kind of a let down..
but, hey, at least it didnt fall apart :)
good job juniors!




then, of course, there was the Sports Carnival on sunday..
many other colleges came over for "friendly" matches and stuff..
and that was another day successfully thrown in the bin for me..
after promising myself that i'll spend the day studying, there i was at the mph cheering kyuem
on..
sigh..
but there was one game i was quite happy not to have missed..
the INTEC vs KYUEM girls basketball match..
well, it wasnt exactly a "girls" game, cuz INTEC sent a bunch of rough girls who seemed to me to be trannies..
they played rough, and i DO mean rough..
but hell, we won!
along with other things (except basketball) WE WON!


on the other extreme, Sapphire seems to be losing every time a college comes up with an event..
and it's starting to get really iffy..
even though i dont think we're responsible, i kinda FEEL very obliged to BE responsible..
crappy, innit?


but u know what?
i dun care!
cuz tonight, i'm getting lemang!
(yay for raya celebration!)

riang ria post-raya :)

i've spent the last 2 weeks of my supposed holiday boring myself to death at home..

till tues, when azim sms-es me and invites me to join im, musa, umar & him for dinner wed night..

so we went out for dinner, and that was basically it..

as uneventful as it sounds, i guess it beats sitting at home trying to stop myself from eating EVERY piece of edible material a.k.a food..

so after dinner, we plan our visit for the next day to our ex-drama teacher's home..

on wed, i met up with adzam in school and waited for im and aie to drive us to our teacher (ms yati)'s house..

we leave school and drive all the way to gunung rapat, before we realised that none of us actually knew where here house was, exactly..

so then, im calls ms yati and after a few "oh"s and "ok"s, hangs up and tells us she moved to a house near the airport..

OMG!

the airport was so far away from where we were, but we drove anyway..

finally we reach here home and spend some quality time with her, catching up on stuff, and talking about the new drama team..

talking about the juniors makes me realise how much fun i had throughout the whole drama experience..

and how it brought us all together, even though we were all COMPLETELY different, in many ways..

come to think of it, the only people who ever kept in touch with me were the drama team members..

all this made me smile, because, even after 2 years, we were all still the same, and nothing has changed..

after our little visit, the 4 of us head to jj to meet hafiz (whom we havent met for a year, at least)..

he joined the army and he rarely gets holidays, not forgetting the fact that he lost all our numbers because he keeps getting caught bringing in an illegal handphone into his army college..

listening to him talking about his experiences and the extent of the ragging that happens there makes my stomach turn..

i never once expected any one of my closest friends to end up as a fighter, to join the army..

to see him after more than a year, we notice how much he's matured and grown up..

(and become more good-looking too, i heard ;p)

after catching up on the past and spending some time with hafiz (and meor), we go home..

so, all i'm waiting for now is for all of us to gather and hangout again, just like how we used to be at school..

and i believe, that day will come soon :)

thus, since i'll run out of credit sms-ing everyone, to those of you who're celebrating (regardless of whether i know you personally or not) who happen to stumble upon this blog of mine,

it's always nice to walk down memory lane, dun you think?
today, i went to shivaraj's house for a prayer they held for aunty thana (his mum) who passed away on sept 5th..
i've known shivaraj (shiva, for short) forever, it seems..
since i was 5 years old, i've befriended him, and we've been bestfriends ever since..


and then, of course, there was Balakavitha (BK, for short)..
she was there today too..
it's been 3 years since i last saw her and contacted her..
the last time we ever spoke, as i remember, was in 2006 when our schools organised a singing competition together, and all 3 of us (shiva, BK and myself) were part of the committee..
today, we're all doing different things..
shiva's in mahsa, finishing his A levels..
BK's doing stpm this year..
and i'm still doing my A levels..


well, it's always nice to look back on things you used to do with the people you used to hang out with..
now, since we still have a weeks break, i'm hoping to go out with both of them real soon..
